Club's director Nenad Protega: »The deal is more or less finished. Kokot will sign a two year contract after the end of preseason camp in Kranjska gora. Since Aleš can play on the position of left full back or left central defender. With his experience he is a great asset for our otherwise very young team.«
Head coach Igor Benedejčič also welcomed a Kokot's signing, saying: »At the present moment we have a lot of players with medical issues, with Jogan, Rapnik and Žitko still training lightly. In Kokot we signed an excellent player. We are still looking for a quality right central defender. Once we fill this post, we can start new season with a lot of hope and confidence.«
For the last four seasons Kokot played in 2 Bundesliga, for Greuther Furth and Wehen respectively.
