National champion Domžale and Cup champion Interblock opened the season 2008/09 with Super Cup match in front of 2.000 spectators. Match ended with 0:0 – there were also no goals in extra time –, so the penalties had to decide a winner.
More concentrated were Interblock’s players, especially goalkeeper Matjaž Rozman, who saved last shoot and gave a victory to away side (match was played in Domžale).
