NK Factor last year celebrated its 31st anniversary. It was established in Ježica in Ljubljana and has maintained its goals through its three decades of existence. NK Factor was always the suburban club in the shadow of the bigger clubs in Ljubljana: Olimpija, Slovan, Ljubljana, Mercator, Ilirija, Slavija. Some names faded away, while Factor stayed true to its set goals, structure, location, even its legal entity throughout these years. The club took pride in its hard work, know-how, expertise and its open attitude. Perhaps the fact that in the last 30 years, the club’s school of sports and education has been attended by 1320 children, of which as many as 46 have represented the country at various youth levels, 7 still plays for professional club abroad, while 12 former players are members of Premier League clubs in Slovenia..
NK Factor stepped into the elite group of clubs only last season. The club’s success has not been coincidental. It is the result of professional and planned work in the club, which is why it is not surprising that all of our youth teams have been involved in the top flight in Slovenia since 1996. Promotion to the top flight therefore represented a logical, but undoubtedly the biggest achievement of the club.
